October 6, 1983 – May 25, 2015
(Español abajo) As the result of an unjust arrest by the Oxnard Police Department on charges that were never proven in court, Edgar Solorzano was incarcerated at the Pre-Trial Detention Facility in Ventura. On May 25, 2015, Edgar died under suspicious circumstances in his cell following prolonged inhumane treatment at the hands of the authorities. Edgar will be remembered by his family, friends, and loved ones as a smart, witty, loyal, and strong-willed man with a great sense of humor and a passion for justice in his community. Después de un arresto injusto por el departamento de policía de Oxnard, sobre cargos que nunca fueron comprobados, Edgar Solorzano fue encarcelado en el Centro de Detención Antes de Juicio de Ventura. Edgar murió en su celda el 25 de Mayo del 2015 bajo circunstancias sospechosas después de haber recibido tratamiento inhumano por tiempo prolongado a manos de las autoridades. Edgar sera recordado por su familia, amistades, y personas queridas, como inteligente, astuto, leal, con un gran sentido de humor, y una pasión por la justicia en su comunidad.
