Drop the charges! We went to court yesterday to enter our Not Guilty plea. We have a trial court date on January 22, 2014 at 8:30am, 4353 E. Vineyard Avenue-Oxnard, Ca . Save the date! Let’s pack the courthouse!
What is this legal fight about?
The Oxnard Police Department has unjustly charged and targeted Francisco ‘Chavo’ Romero, local community organizer and member of Unión del Barrio and Colectivo Todo Poder Al Pueblo with five (5) “failing to yield” tickets for the last community march against police brutality held in October. These “infractions” are an open attack on the COMMUNITY’S RIGHT TO RESIST AND ORGANIZE, and an attempt to keep the barrios and the people of Oxnard silent in the face of oppression. Join us in defending our rights!**********************************
